My bestie from high school, Bob Oliver, has lived in Japan since the mid sixties. He and his wife, Ritsuko, have two children, Jenifer and Kenji.
In September, 2019, Keji introduced his girlfriend, Mizuki, to his partents - a sign of their impending marriage. Their relationship was put on hold for a couple of years, and resumed (I think) in 2021 and they subsequently did get married.
