I have known Bob Oliver since 1950, when his family moved to Somers, NY. He and I were good friends, and have become great friends since we reconnected at a high school reunion in 2010.
Bob took his separation from the U.S. Navy in Yokohama in 1968, and didn't bother to come home.
He is married to his second wife, Ritsuko, and they have two children, Jenifer and Kenji, together.
