All of the major work is finally done on the house, and we are no longer living in a "war zone".
We have a fully functional guest bedroom suite on the rooftop, complete with its own kitchenette, bathroom, and patio with wonderful views of Zona Centro and the western hills.
The utilities and laundry facilities have been moved from what is now the rooftop kitchenette to a rooftop patio (water softening and filtration), and to a newly created laundry room in the panhandle of the back patio on the ground floor. Additionally a portico covering has been installed to create a sheltered walkway covering both our grill and the path from the living room to the new laundry room.
The second floor patio outside of the main bedroom has been partially enclosed for privacy, and a hot tub has been installed.
Finally in recognition of our advancing decrepitude, we have installed an elevator.
Only minor projects remain, mostly painting the house interior and installation of a couple more window blinds.
To say that we are pleased with the results (as well as not having any longer living in a dust bowl), is a dramatic understatement.
